             Annual or perennial, tomentose
undershrubs, to 3m tall. Leaves cordate, 3-6.5×2-6cm, pubescent on both
surfaces, acute or acuminate at apex; petioles 2-15cm long. Pedicel longer than
petioles, jointed towards top. Sepals ovate, apiculate. Corolla yellow to
orange, without purple centre; petals broadly obovate, ciliate at base. Stamina
column 5-7mm long. Schizpcarps 1.5-2.5cm across, globular or flat; mericarps

stem branched from the base, 10-30cm high. Leaves oblanceolate or obovate,

hairy. Flower whorls in compact, terminal, 8-10cm long spikes; bracts
