Steve ZengMrs. Reynolds5th grade science fair04 September 20XXTitle of Your ReportWelcome to the Research paper .This is going to help you make a hypothesis. Hopefully you didn’t do the experiment. What this research paper talks about is about the question and about the experiment.(Do different types of lamps change the height of a plant?).Let’s start learning!Plants make food by combining carbon dioxide.Sunlight is like their battery.Their leaves, chlorophyll captures the sun’s energy. Plants also need water in order for their photosynthesis to work.  Photosynthesis works with a formula.(6CO2 + 6H2O + light energy = C6H12O6 + 6O2)Photosynthesis discovered in the late 1800´s.Humphry Davy invented lamps.    Light bulbs light up because of Their circuits. Electricity flows through and then the lightbulb light up. But what is light made of? Light is made of  Photons.   Photons are a particle representing a quantum of light or other electromagnetic radiation. A photon carries energy proportional to the radiation frequency but has zero rest mass.Plants detect light by Phytochromes are photoreceptors in plants that detect light in the infrared region.  Light is like the light spectrum.  Isaac Newton discovered the light spectrum.               The best amount of water I should give to a plant is 7 millimeter. Also, the best amount of soil to put in is  3/4 . Why do we need plants though? Well Plants are more important than you realize. Think about our food. Where do you think we got them from? They didn’t just drop out of the sky, farmers had to grow them. Plants provide our fruits and vegetables. They also provide our oxygen. Next time you see a plant, try to respect them.Works Cited(Bibliography) Why Do Plants Need Sunlight?” Edited by Albert Still, Why Do Plants Need Sunlight?,, Shari. “Learn About Water And Plant Growth.” Gardening Know How, 8 Jan. 2015, Woodford, Chris. “How Do Incandescent Filament Lamps Work?” Explain That Stuff, 25 Oct. 2017, PM, Thomas. “How Do Plants Detect Light? | Socratic.”, 12 Apr. 2016, Barras, Colin. “Earth – What Is a Ray of Light Made of?” BBC, BBC, 31 July 2015,, Kathee. “How To Water A Plant: How Much Water Should I Give My Plant.” Gardening Know How, 25 Dec. 2016, of Photosynthesis.” Photosynthesis Education,”How to Plant in Pots.” Planet Natural, 17 Nov. 2017,
