There are many
aspects of teaching in the Philippines. These can be classified into two (2)
category: traditional and blended. Traditional teaching and lecturing consider
classroom discussions, manila paper reports, and written tests. Traditional
teachings nowadays are uncommon and dissatisfying. Due to the technology that
the country has today, several teachers are into blended teachings. Teaching
and lecturing approaches come hand in hand. There are two learning approaches
that differ. Blended learning originated from the U.S.A. in the late 1990s. Its
demand increased rapidly and has become global. Blending Learning is considered
as an instructional strategy such as virtual learning environments (VLEs) which
is computer-based that can enhance classroom instruction through the use of
Tradition (e.g. Printed materials, Computer-based resources, and Open
educational resources) that were added with online instruction (e.g. Online
learning activities, online collaboration, online reviewers and practice tests)
were added to help students. Hybrid learning is the alternative term for
blended learning. It is learning through the combination of face-to-face instruction
with technology-mediated instruction. It combines classroom-based learning and
e-Learning. Traditional face-to-face instruction involves interactions between
instructors and learners who are in the same place, whereas technology-mediated
instruction uses information and communication technologies (ICT) to mediate
the learning experience and interactions without requiring that learners and
instructors be located together
