As masters program in Business and finance at Hult

As a graduate with a major in Economics with a concentration in physics and globalization from Bates College, I have worked on using my critical thinking and analytical skills to solve problems, formed and presented ideas, and learned to collaborate with my peers to arrive at creative solutions. Employing skills I have developed, I believe that I would be a great fit for the dual masters program in Business and finance at Hult University where I am extremely eager to put my academic and professional experience to use. In addition to my academics, I have acquired a varied set of skills during a series of summer internships. Previously working as a financial analyst intern at Barclays and EFG Hermes in Egypt, I prepared pitch books and analyses for client presentations and built financial models for leveraged buyouts and credit reviews. During my internship at Garden State Securities in New York last summer, I learned to assume responsibility, to take initiative, and to stay organized in order to complete projects- all skills I know are valued at Hult. Over the past couple of summers, there were a variety of instances where I did not hesitate to take an additional step to obtain a more comprehensive analysis of my work. I worked hard to expand my boundaries this summer during my internship at Endeavor as an analyst in New York. During this internship, I learned about the multiple facets of risk that financial institutions are exposed to and the steps that can be taken to mitigate them. Additionally, I understood the value of teamwork and the importance of ethics in a professional background. As captain of the varsity squash team at Bates and playing squash at the top level throughout my entire life, I have learned to take responsibility for my actions, take initiative, and most importantly, collaborate with a diverse group of individuals to achieve a common goal. The leadership experience I have gained in the classroom, the office, and in the squash court will provide me with the skills necessary to effectively communicate with both colleagues and clients in the workplace. I firmly believe that I have the ability to overcome any task or challenge that is put in front of me, which will serve me well during my time studying for a masters degree from hult. During my internship at endeavor, the CEO, Linda Rottenberg encouraged me to pursue a masters degree stating that it would very much add to my value. Therefore, here I am chasing that dream with the aim of eventually going back home to my motherland, Egypt, and helping the economy evolve using the skills and education I will obtain during my time at Hult University. Every aspect, from the relation between the faculty and students, sense of community, rigorous curriculum, and the rich of diversity seems to match the setting where I hope to immerse myself in and would make me proudly say I attended such a prestigious program that values education. I appreciate your consideration of this application and look forward to hearing from you
